What's on and coming up...

Here's what's happening in our creative space, the Sail Loft, above the NaviStitch shop on Manningtree High Street over the coming weeks...

This week...

Our Summer Vibes exhibition is going swimmingly. We're so pleased to be able to support so many established and new artists, some of whom are exhibiting for the first time. Our preview evening was fun - lots of artists met with our guests and shared an insight into their work.

Quite a few pieces have gone off to their new homes so, in order to keep our walls full of fabulous art, each artist is bringing another piece in if one of theirs sells - if you make a second visit, you'll therefore notice a few changes. Mixing it up is keeping the exhibition fresh and we've still got another 2 weeks of amazing art! For opening times and more info: https://www.navistitch.com/summerexhibition

If you missed it, last week we outlined profiles of each of the artists in our newsletter - take a look here: https://www.navistitch.com/post/summer-vibes-are-here

Our exhibition is on from now until 30th July and we're here Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm - it'd be great to see you.

This Saturday...

It's meet the artist day. Amanda Clement-Robinson will be in the NaviStitch shop between 2pm and 3:30pm to chat about her work and answer any questions you may have. Call in and learn more about what inspires Amanda's work.

What's up next?

From the 3rd to 6th August we've got a new exhibition in the Sail Loft "Tendring Talent and the Ipswich Interloper". The show is a joint one by Kay Lucas, artist inspired by the local area and coastlines, Anne Plummer, Artist specialising in the maritime, Pamela Hatswell, Knitwear Designer and Jen Cook, Potter

Also in August...

Artist Amanda Clement-Robinson will be putting on a solo exhibition in our Sail Loft from 17th to 27th August, but she'll also be offering a series of workshops - take a look and see what you'd like to learn. All workshops are 10:30-2:30 and you can email Amanda to book for each of them: alt.rst98@gmail.com

On 17th and 26th you can take part in a Silk Painting workshop. Explore the wonders of drawing, printing and painting onto silk.

On 18th and 24th you can learn Gelli printing - an enjoyable way to print without a printing press. Take a way your artwork on paper and canvas.

On 19th and 25th Amanda's teaching collographic and block printing. No previous experience required!

More next time...

... But never miss out on any of the events held in our Sail Loft - take a look at our online calendar to both see what's happening, and to book any of our workshops.

If you're an artist or maker and are interested in hiring the Sail Loft for your exhibition, workshop or pop-up even, take a look at details of our space and how to book

Until next time, I wish you calm waters and plain sailing

Sam
